Arsene gave his press conference today before the Emirates cup. (Listen Here)
Emmanuel Adebayor, Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott are all suffering the effects of the Club's recent nine-day training camp in Austria and will miss the tournament at the weekend. However the injuries are not long term.
"At the moment, not everybody's match fit," said Arsene Wenger at Friday's press conference.
"We worked very hard in Austria and there was such heat that we have lost Emmanuel Adebayor, Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott for the tournament.
"The good news is that it is a question of days not weeks. They will be OK for Ajax and everybody will be ready for the start of the season."
Some other interesting points. Firstly on Ljungberg's replacement - he clearly sees Walcott taking up his role here. Wenger clearly emphasizes his desire to move fringe players such as Bendtner, Adebayor, and Walcott into regular first team places.

On Theo Walcott Wenger said:
"You cannot say Walcott is a potential world class player on one side. And when you want to play him, you tell me why don't you buy a world class player. Also Eduardo doesn't have a work permit at the moment (I didn't realise this). But Wenger is optimistic about getting it through before the start of the season as the player has played all recent Croatian internationals (especially in the light of other transfers being awarded permits without making any international appearances...)......
"If you believe Walcott is good enough you have to give him a chance to show it."
Any way it looks like we are in for an interesting weekend, I'm off today to watch the PSG game having messed up buying tickets for the Vieira/Inter game...
