CHRISANTHUS TO HAMBURG, MPUTU TO ARSENAL

Hamburg have pulled off a major coup after announcing the capture of Nigerian Macauley Chrisantus. Chrisanthus reminds me of something of a half-way-house between Yakabu of Everton and Arsenal's own Adebayor.

The 17-year-old having won the U-17 world cup, winning the golden boot had looked to be on his way to the Premier League with Arsenal,Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all interested in landing him. Chrisanthus had previously stated his preference was to work under Arsene Wenger.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, Ajax, Internazionale and Milan were also showing an interest in the young striker, who won the Golden Ball at the World Under 17 Championship earlier this year.

But now Hamburg have managed to agree a deal to take him from Abuja FC.

HSV sport director Dietmar Beiersdorfer told the club's official website.

"We are delighted that we were able to convince him of our concept"

Chrisantus has agreed an initial amateur contract at the HSH Nordbank Arena and he will then sign a professional deal at the end of the season.

Tresor Mabi Mputu has started his 10 day trial at Arsenal. Former Congo coach Claude Le Roy describes Mputu being better than Samuel Eto’o who he also picked for Cameroon for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France as a 17 year-old.

Tell you what though...he doesn't mess around...shocking!!

And finally... Robin Van Persie is hoping to be back in action for the Wigan game on the 24th of November.....

Mputu Tresor is a very very dangerous player. Once he succeeds in the trial and gets his chance to show the world what he can do, everyone will just wintess his pace, his ball control, his finishing, his shot power, his vision the list is soo long. I just cant wait until he gets his first game to show the whole world something that they have never seen. He is MUCH worth than just half a million pounds. I say about 10 million at least. Trust me, You will beleive me one day.
